ELLEN WHITE CONDEMNS TRINITARIAN REASONING
Many people, just because Ellen White said there are three persons of the Godhead, believe she was a trinitarian. This article shows otherwise.
AN ARTICLE SENT TO THE WHITE ESTATE SHOWING THAT ELLEN WHITE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A TRINITARIAN
In 2016, Larry Crews of the White Estate, attempted to convince me that Ellen White’s writings speak of God as a trinity of persons as depicted by the trinity doctrine. This article is my response to those claims.

DON’T GET SHORT-CHANGED
In 1983, the White Estate published a cut-down version of Ellen White’s book Patriarchs and Prophets. In this cut-down version, certain statements were omitted from the first chapter that reveal the true position of the Son of God to His Father. You can read about the removal of these statements here.
WHO IS TELLING THE TRUTH?
Truth is of the highest importance. Who and what we believe will ultimately determine our destiny. We cannot afford to get it wrong. Certainly we cannot get it wrong about the person of Christ. Yet today, within the Seventh-day Adventist Church, there are many voices, and not all are saying the same thing. In fact many views are diametrically opposed to each other. Read about this here.
THE OFFICIAL 1936 (NON-TRINITARIAN) GODHEAD BELIEFS OF SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS
In 1936, the General Conference issued a series of Sabbath School lesson studies that were said to explain the official beliefs held by Seventh-day Adventists. The beliefs on the Godhead are here highlighted.
A BRIEF SKETCH OF MY JOURNEY FROM TRINITARIANISM TO NON-TRINITARIANISM
My personal testimony of why and how, after confessing to be a trinitarian for 25 years, I had to openly reject the trinity doctrine.
MY RESPONSE TO MAX HATTON’S CHALLENGE
Max Hatton is a retired Seventh-day Adventist minister living in Australia. On his website he issues a challenges to all non-trinitarians. He challenges them to make their views publicly known. This is my response to his challenge.
A BIBLE STUDY ON THE DEATH OF CHRIST AND THE POSSIBILITY OF HIM SINNING
In 2014, Max Hatton, a retired Seventh-day Adventist minister living in Australia asked me to provide from Scripture, the evidence that (a) the divine Son of God had died at Calvary, also (b), that in agreeing to become incarnate, Christ had put at risk His eternal existence. This is my response.
A REPLY TO A TRINITARIAN UNDERSTANDING OF THE DEATH OF JESUS
This was my reply to Max Hatton (a retired Seventh-day Adventist minister living in Australia) when he told me that the divine person of Christ did not die at Calvary, also that Christ, when making the decision to become incarnate, did not put a risk His eternal existence
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD
A brief study on God’s love showing that as a sacrifice to pay for the sins of humanity, He really did give His only begotten Son.
BE NOT DECEIVED – CHRIST REALLY IS THE SON OF GOD
This is a study of what has been revealed through Ellen White concerning the identity and the pre-existence of Christ. It is only a small study but it is full of very important information – especially in the light of the present Godhead debate within Seventh-day Adventism.
WHAT THINK YE OF CHRIST?
It is repeatedly said, by the trinitarians, that non-trinitarians do not believe in the full and complete divinity of Christ but this is far from being true. As will be seen in the five sections of this series, the author – a non-trinitarian – unreservedly accepts that the Bible teaches that Christ is none other than God in the person of the Son.
BEWARE
Beware of the trinitarians who teach that the divine person of the Son of God did not die at Calvary. They are doing the work of Satan.
THE SON OF GOD (SCRIPTURE ONLY)
This article is a study of what the Bible says concerning the pre-existent Son of God. As many Seventh-day Adventists will realize, their denomination do not confess today that Christ is truly the Son of God but say instead that the term ‘Son’ is only used by the Bible writers in a metaphorical (figurative) sense. This of course makes the term ‘Father’ metaphorical. The author of this article disputes this reasoning. He says that Christ is the literal Son of God.
THE SON OF GOD (INCLUDING ELLEN WHITE’S COMMENTS)
This article is a study of what the Bible and the writings of Ellen White say concerning the pre-existent Son of God. As many Seventh-day Adventists will realize, their denomination does not confess today that Christ is truly the Son of God but instead says that the term ‘Son’ is only used by the Bible writers in a metaphorical (figurative) sense. This of course in turn makes the term ‘Father’ metaphorical. The author of this article disputes this reasoning. He believes that Christ is the literal Son of God.
THE DIVINE PERSONS OF GOD AND CHRIST
This is a study of Scripture and the spirit of prophecy. It was written in response to a Seventh-day Adventist minister’s continuing allegations on Facebook that my understanding of God and Christ was erroneous.
CONCERNING CHRIST – THE CURRENT BELIEFS AND TEACHINGS OF THE SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH
This article shows that the Scriptures reveal that Christ is truly the Son of God, begotten of God in eternity. This is in keeping with what the Seventh-day Adventist Church taught for the first 100 years of its existence as God’s remnant people – 71 of which was when we had God’s messenger amongst us, namely Ellen G. White. Today, as a denomination, we teach something entirely different. We teach today that God and Christ, along with the Holy Spirit, are only role-playing (acting out) their various parts.
THE SILENT EDITING OF PAST LITERATURE
Unbeknown to many people, an edition of the Seventh-day Adventist Biblical Research newsletter ‘Reflections’ was edited many years after its first publication.
1 + 1 + 1 =1 IS THIS A BIBLICAL EXPLANATION OF GOD OR A PHILOSOPHICAL SPECULATION?
This series was prompted by an article called “1+1+1=One” – which was written by Norman R Gulley and published in the February 2010 issue of ‘Adventist World’
NO MORE THAN SWINE’S BLOOD
This article refutes the trinitarian belief that only the human nature of Christ died at Calvary – not a divine person. John Loughborough wrote the following:
“It will not do to substitute the human nature of Christ (according to Trinitarians) as the Mediator; for Clarke says, “Human blood can no more appease God than swine’s blood.”” (John Loughborough, Review and Herald, November 5th 1861, ‘Questions for Bro. Loughborough’)
WHO OR WHAT DIED AT CALVARY?
The most important teaching in Christianity is the atonement. This is why it is important that we get it absolutely right regarding who and what died at Calvary. In my pursuit of what is really believed by trinitarians, it seems to me that most seem to believe that only human nature died at Calvary, and not a divine person. In this study we shall discover the truth of the matter.
THE UNADDRESSED ISSUE
Could the incarnate divine Son of God have sinned? If He could and did sin, then what would have happened to Him? In this brief but very important article, these questions are candidly answered.
A BRIEF UNDOCUMENTED OVERVIEW OF THE HISTORY OF THE REJECTION AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TRINITY DOCTRINE WITHIN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISM
As the title suggests, this study is not documented. It is simply the author’s view of how the one-time non-trinitarian Godhead beliefs of Seventh-day Adventists developed into a full-blown trinity doctrine. This was after being a non-trinitarian denomination for over 100 years.
THE SPEAR ARTICLE
In 1891, a Presbyterian minister by the name of Samuel Spear, published an article called The Subordination of Christ. The following year, the Seventh-day Adventist Church used it as a tract to explain their Godhead beliefs to the public. It was re-named The Bible Doctrine of the Trinity. It reveals therefore, in 1892, what was believed by Seventh-day Adventists about the Godhead.
AN ENQUIRY ANSWERED
In 2017 I received an enquiry regarding the trinity doctrine. It was said
“Whenever I look at the Trinity area, I always get confused, even though I have a lot of background in spiritual things. It seems apparent that people are using the term “Trinity” to mean a variety of beliefs.”
This article is my response.
IS THE HOLY SPIRIT A PERSON?
This is a much debated question. It is also a question that has had numerous answers. In this study, many texts of Scriptures are given consideration – as also are many quotations from the writings of Ellen White.
CONCERNING THE HOLY SPIRIT (AN EMAIL TO A FRIEND)
Four years ago in 2016, a friend asked me what my views were concerning the Holy Spirit. This article contains my answer to him.
THE ROLE OF ELLEN WHITE WITHIN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISM
Through its leadership for many years, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has made the claim that it was the writings of Ellen White that led our denomination to change from its once solid stand of non-trinitarianism (this was whilst Ellen White was alive) to the trinitarian view of God that it takes today. In this article, we shall discover who Ellen White was, also how her writings should be regarded in relation to the Scriptures.
THREE CHOICES
This article is a copy of an email that I sent to a friend 13 years ago at the beginning of 2008. She had encountered a website that gave certain definitions concerning the trinity doctrine. This article is my response to this lady.
GODS STRANGE ACT
Amongst Seventh-day Adventists today there are, in circulation, a number of false ideas about God. One such idea is portrayed by the trinity doctrine whilst another is the belief that God does not kill. Each view is as destructive as the other. This is because they both portray a wrong picture of God. Satan is continually striving to misrepresent God. If he fails in one way then he tries another.
JESUS GIVES US SIGNS OF HIS RETURN
It has been said that the signs Jesus gave us that tell us of His return – like the dark day of 1780, also the ‘falling stars’ of 1833 etc, are not signs to show his return to be near but rather that they are just to remind us that one day, Jesus will return.
I refute this belief. I believe these signs were fixed to show the return of Christ to be near. As you will see in this study, this is confirmed in the writings of Ellen White.
MY REBUTTAL OF A SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST MINISTER’S CLAIMS
During October 2015 I received a series of emails from an SDA minister named Richard Mendoza. He claimed that the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, that I have on my website, is a falsified history. This is a rebuttal to his claims. This minister has never addressed himself to this rebuttal.
MY RESPONSE TO RICHARD MENDOZA’S FACEBOOK COMMENTS
This article explains why I found it necessary to stop Richard Mendoza, who was once a minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, from writing to my Facebook page.
